End Points

At Norcot we use Development Matters as the foundation of our curriculum. We worked with other local nurseries to break down the End Point statements into small steps to ensure progression, re-visit and embed previous learning and build and develop skills and knowledge throughout the year. All important elements of children’s learning and development.

Teachers select the focus end points for each topic, however, staff will respond to the children and seize opportunities to work on any end points as they arise.

We believe that having a clear focus on what we want children to be able to know, do and remember is important for both staff and families. The document below has been created to work in partnership with the End Points, to give a clear idea of the learning that each end point provides.
